Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei

Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei

(Italian National Academy)

The Royal Society of Edinburgh has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei to facilitate, encourage and support research collaboration in all areas between research groups in Scotland and Italy. This scheme is additional to and complements existing schemes operated at a UK level by the Royal Society and the British Academy in London.

The RSE exchange programme is offered from 2011 and grants are awarded through a competitive process to support research visits to and from Italy. Exchange Programme grants are for short-term visits of a maximum fourteen days duration, the key objectives being to enhance the research capabilities of individual researchers, develop international collaborative links and enable participation in international programmes. Both visitors and hosts in Italy should have established contact before submitting an application, either by previous collaboration or by scientific correspondence.

Visits are funded by the terms of agreements with the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. The RSE will pay the cost of APEX or equivalent fares plus travel to and from the UK departure point. Local costs will be met by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.
