Scottish Government response to RSE Women in STEM Report

Posted 28/06/2013

Dr Alasdair Allan, Minister for Learning, Science and Scotland's Languages has written to the RSE, setting out the Scottish Government's full response to the RSE's Report, Tapping All Our Talents.

The Scottish Government agrees with many of the conclusions and recommendations in the Report, and recognises that a coordinated, collaborative and cooperative approach is required to address the issues raised.

The Scottish Government's full response to the RSE Report is available here.

RSE General Secretary, Alice Brown, has been asked to be a member of the newly-formed Scottish Government Strategic Group for Women and Work.

Professor Brown is pictured at the annual Parliamentary Links Day event at Westminster in late June, when she spoke about the RSE Report. This year's topic at the event was Diversity in Science and the RSE circulated a briefing paper on relevant activities ahead of the event.
