RSE Responds to draft Land Use Strategy for Scotland 2016-2021

Posted 04/02/2016

The Royal Society of Edinburgh has responded to the Scottish Government's consultation on a draft Land Use Strategy for Scotland 2016–2021.

The paper identified two major challenges. First is how to make the next stage of the Land Strategy an over-arching strategy which joins together other highly relevant policies and strategies often separated by sector, to achieve a more holistic, integrated vision. Second is to develop a clear delivery strategy which identifies who is responsible and, at what geographical scales, from Scottish Government, regional and local levels.
